Halloween

Maya enjoyed her first Halloween.  She was an adorable little ladybug!  She went to G.B.'s (grandmom's), her Uncle & Aunt's house, and to visit a few neighbors.  She was most intrigued by the Wawa employee that she encountered who was dressed up as a Twinkie!  She had fun messing with her cousin's costume- she dressed up as Minnie Mouse!

Maya's First Snowstorm

Maya got to experience her first snowstorm much earlier than we expected!  She seemed a bit perplexed and concerned about it.

Maya- 6 months old!

Hello everyone.  Can you believe that I'm 6 months old.  The first thing you might notice is that this month I learned how to type!

My mom wants me to report that I'm typically sleeping much better now.  I've slept through the night quite a few times now and am starting to take some good long naps.  However, some days I remember that playing is much more fun than sleeping.  I really like to play!  Some of my favorite things are my...
1.  Dogs- Dexter & Rose- I love to watch them play!
2. Around We Go Activity Center
3.  Jumperoo
4.  Superstar Sing Along Stage
5. Winkle
6. Carter's Bunny- thanks Aunt Tracy
7.  Baby Starters Sugar & Spice Doll- Thanks Mimi
8. Wubanub caterpillar- Thanks G.B.
9. Leap Frog Learning Table
10. Lamaze Hippo
11. And of course my family!

Here I am trying to eat my Leap Frog Learning Table- too bad it didn't fit in my mouth.

My dogs are always around me- especially when I'm doing tummy time!

This month I began eating solid foods- it hasn't all been good.  I tolerate oatmeal and sweet potatoes.  I like rice cereal. I absolutely despise peas (so much that I cried that first time I had to eat them).  My mom keeps telling me that she made some apples for me to try but I haven't seen them yet!  I eat twice a day right now- breakfast and dinner.

Here I am eating some oatmeal!  My mom says that I'm not the neatest eater but I think that her expectations are too high.

This month I also began sitting well.  I can even sit unassisted for a few seconds.  I then usually topple forward or backwards- don't worry though- I'm tough.  Oh, and if you didn't see the earlier post- I also learned how to suck on my toes!

Of course, I'm still as cute as can be!

Tomorrow I have a busy day!  I have a play date in the morning and then my 6 month check-up.  I hope the doctor doesn't stick me with that needle again!  Ugh!

My mom asked me to write that she'll update the post with my height and weight.

** Update from Amy:  Maya had a healthy 6 month check up.  She weighed 15.4 lbs (@ 35%), was 27" tall (@ 85%) and her head circumference was 17" (@ 70%).  She did not enjoy her shots at all and let the entire office hear about it.
