Maya- 5 months old

Today Maya is 5 months old!  She's pretty excited about it- as you can see in the picture!

Maya really started to enjoy playing this month.  She continues to be very observant.  She likes to take everything in.  She loves to smile for her mom and dad!  She's very portable and enjoys running errands or just being carted around anywhere!  She's great at grabbing toys and can sit well with support!  Maya also seems really interested in the dogs right now.  She loves to watch them play.  She really likes to pet Dexter.  She'll grab his fur- thankfully he doesn't care.  Rose isn't as interested in her so she's not usually close enough to be grabbed.  We're going to introduce solids to her in the next day or two!  We're anxious to see her reaction.  She started to sleep a bit better recently and has slept through the night or given us 10 hour or so stretches a few times- she is still very inconsistent with it though.  We can't wait to see what new tricks she'll have up her sleeve this month!

Here's Maya's 4 month picture!

During her 4th month she began to play more.  She can now grab things. She enjoys trying to stand, putting everything in her mouth, playing in her jumperoo, and hitting the buttons on her sit and stand piano toy.    Unfortunately, she's had a major sleep regression so we're working on that.  She seems to have decided that life is much too interesting to sleep!  She's currently around the 30% for weight, 75% for height, and 50% for head circumference.  She's a tall lean baby!
