First let me list all of her new accomplishments since I haven't updated the blog in a long time.
Maya- you can:
- sing the ABCs and many other songs- you LOVE music.
- count to 10 consistently and count to 20 with about 75% accuracy.
- identify some letters
- speak very well- in full sentences to people you're comfortable with
- know all of your colors- you like to categorize things too- "That's blue, not orange, not green, blue." You'll also let us know if it's a dark or light color.
- know most of your shapes
Maya was sadly sick on her actual birthday. I picked her up from daycare with a 103 degree temperature. She kept a high temperature for about 4 days. Fortunately, we had her party the weekend before. Looking at the pictures I can see that an illness was brewing (note her rosy cheeks)!
We has a small Sesame Street themed party (mainly Cookie Monster). She seemed to have a blast and still got spoiled rotten, although there were only a few people there! I didn't go as all out with decorations as her first birthday (because well I just don't have the time while working) but I think everything turned out cute! Thank you Pinterest for all of the ideas. I LOVE her Cookie Monster dress and so does she. I ordered it from Etsy!
We served Maya's favorite foods- fruit and pizza. Of course we had to have cupcakes too! |
Maya's cousins Gianna and Alex got her this car. She was so excited about it she climbed into it before it was built! |
"Thank you Gianna for my very own car!" |
"Beep, beep, I love my new car!" |
Maya's our little Cookie Monster! Dexter is trying to get some food here! |
Happy Birthday Maya Bean! We love you so much and can't even begin to explain all the joy and love you've brought into our lives!
