Snow

This is why you have kids, right?

Leo is 8 Months Old

Leo is 8 months old!  He's a fun, busy, little boy.  He loves to crawl around the house and explore.  He especially loves the dogs' water bowl and toilet paper rolls.  He's pulling himself to stand on everything he can reach!  He'll spend a good portion of his day on the first step of our stairwell.  Leo also wants anything and everything that Maya plays with.  If she's currently playing with it, he wants it even more!

This month Leo began sleeping through the night- this was not by his choice.  He still sometimes wakes up during the 5 o'clock hour but we're working to get him to his 6 o'clock cut off mark consistently!  He also sprouted 3 top front teeth at one time (poor guy) and the 4th is on its way.

Happy 8 Months to our fun little guy!

Leo 6 Month Professional Photos and Maya 2.5

I bought a Groupon to do Leo's 6 month photos just like I did for Maya but we got to it a bit late.  Here are the digital images.  It's hard to get them to both smile at the same time!  They're cute nonetheless!  Maya must not have enjoyed the process because when we went back to pick up our CD and hard copies she said, "I don't want to say 'cheese' again!"

Leo is 7 Months Old

Leo is 7 months old!  His greatest advancement this month was crawling.  He then began sitting very well and goes from crawling to sitting and sitting to crawling with ease.  He was backwards in that he crawled before sitting well!  We think he didn't have any interest in sitting still until he mastered crawling!  Look out world, Leo's on the move!!

"Yay, I'm 7 months old!"

"Really, another check-up Maya?"

"Now I can crawl through tunnels!"

Christmas 2013

This year Dave's parents visited for Christmas!  It was so nice having them around and having extra sets of hands to help with the kiddos.  We also got to see our nephews who live in Indiana.  We hosted dinner on Christmas; it was busy and hectic, but I think a delicious success (much thanks to Dave's steak!).  I'll let the pictures tell the story.

On Christmas Eve we went to Dave's grandparent's house.  Maya enjoyed piling up her family members with her loot.

"This is mine right!?"

"Santa did it, he brought me Chilly!"
