Maya's First Haircut

We finally did it... Maya had her first haircut today. It made me sad to have those locks that she had as a newborn snipped away, but the ends were getting quite ratty. A former student of mine's mom cuts hair in her basement and 3/4 of her kids have curly hair so I figured she'd be perfect for the job! She was. Maya was such a big girl and sat in the chair all by herself. She kept saying "It doesn't hurt!" This was shocking since I can barely touch her curly locks without her screaming!!
